Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using the letters in uppercase in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the record label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from bloggers as well as the media. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and were widely appreciated. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. This brought her some recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the music it could create. Her parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as a career or hobby but to grow. In the end, she began to write songs of her own. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not to gain fame but rather in order to show others that they matter and how they can make a difference for humanity. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and began making music when she was 9 years old. This was not known by her family until she turned fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. The songs she creates are her way of feeling any thing.
